KING OF VENUS (3) built on a nice third when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at Vaal with a win over 5½f at Vaal nine days ago, getting home by 1.3 lengths. Meets some better types this time but a big run is on the cards. ZANTHAR (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at Turffontein Inside, beaten 3 lengths into fifth. Taking on a better field but he is up to the task. ARILENA (6) scored in a at Vaal but was below her best last time when fifth over 5f at Turffontein Inside. Nicely placed to turn things around.
