COSMIC QUEEN (8) looked good at her only appearance five months ago over 5½f at this track, finishing second and beaten 2 lengths. Sure to have improved over the break and should prove tough to beat again. PRETTY PRECIOUS (7) is back after a break of 12 weeks. At the last run before the layoff she finished fifth over 7f at Durbanville. Launched last prep with a minor placing at Durbanville over 6¼f. Bold showing expected. GUN BARREL (6) is a three-year-old gelding on debut by Fire Away from Daphne Garland who has in turn produced the winner of a black type. ALESIAN BEAU (4) debuted two weeks ago when he finished seventh over 5¾f at this track, beaten 8 lengths. Worth following up.
