SATISFIED MUGS (3) was safely held last time when beaten 3 lengths into fifth at this course and distance after meeting with market support. Has a wide gate to contend with again. Has a good record here at this journey with three wins and a minor placing from six starts. Expected to be in the finish. CORBUSIER (7) scored by 3 lengths when resuming last start at Cairns over 4¾f after he was prominent at the corner. Has never been out of the money in eight starts at this trip, including four wins. Sean Cormack who has three wins when partnering stays on. Sure to play a big role. KAI MONDO (9) won narrowly by a head two runs back at Rockhampton then missed the frame last time at Sunshine Coast. Down in the weights on last run. Has an impressive strike rate at this distance with three wins from six runs and shapes as a key runner. HENRY'S BLADE (8) comes here off a break of six-and-a-half months. Scored over 6f at Mackay at the start of last prep. Among the better hopes.
