DOUGIE'S DREAM (3) finished second when resuming at Bendigo then couldn't repeat the dose last time when fifth at Bendigo over 5½f when beaten 4 lengths. The blinkers go on. Terrific chance to return to form. ONYA SONYA (4) hasn't raced since finishing fifth at Sale and has placed in two trials leading into return. Rates among the leading chances. STERNIN (9) is a nicely bred two-year-old filly lining up for the first time. By Churchill from the stakes winner Calchris who has produced some fine gallopers, including winners at black type level. Filled a minor placing in her most recent trial at Kerang. Looks set to make a positive start to her career despite a tricky stall. ANECDOTAL (1) turned in a much better run at his second appearance last time out when a long neck from the winner in second over 5½f at Werribee. Can improve further and should be in the finish.
