DANDRUFF (1) was fresh from a break of three months last start when beaten 2.5 lengths into third over 1m2f at Pakenham. Won't mind the extra ground. Ready to win. DESERT ANTHEM (2) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then was beaten 1.2 lengths when sixth over 1m2f at Wangaratta two weeks ago. Will enjoy a drop in class so he can find the winners' list. SUFFOLK STAR (5) improved last time out, finishing 2.5 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1m2f at Naracoorte after being in the firing line on the corner. Finds a tougher race but another big run is on the cards. BANNERTON (3) finished 8 lengths adrift in seventh last time over 1m3f at Ararat in a disappointing performance. Best figures measure up nicely. Solid top-three prospects.
