CRESSBROOK (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6¾f at Doomben, beaten 2 lengths into sixth. Has the talent to take this out. STREAK OF WINNING (3) gave a sight here last time, leading until late before finishing fourth and beaten 1.4 lengths over 6f. Will go forward and is expected to be in the finish. BOONDOCKS (1) turned in a strong run two starts ago at Doomben then failed to back it up over 1m at Eagle Farm last time, beaten 3 lengths into sixth. Appeals back in trip this time so he shapes as one to consider. SUNLORD (2) is back at the races for the first time since December 28. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 6f at Gold Coast. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with two minor placings. Lines up. For the first time for trainer jack bruce. Among the better hopes.
