DRACENA (13) generally runs well fresh after winding up last campaign in town finishing in the frame at Doomben. Fitter for placing in a recent Warwick trial. Races well when fresh. Looks the one to beat. AKKU (10) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.75 lengths from the winner in second over 7f at Gatton. Meeting a deeper field this time but she cannot be overlooked. MELTDOWN (3) made considerable ground in the run home to finish third last start over 7f at this track. One of the main contenders. PAPERINO (14) is a five-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 1.5 lengths when fourth over 6f at Gold Coast. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration.
