INVINOVICH (1) did a great job to score by a head over this course and distance last start in a much improved run. No reason he cannot salute again. KAT CHINNA (5) ran a bold race over this journey last start, racing on the pace and sticking on strongly to finish one length away in third at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. GREAT BARRIER REEF (10) was narrowly beaten at his latest appearance at Doomben over 5½f four months ago. Looks a strong top-three prospect. ISLAND MAGIC (12) drifted back and never threatened when 12th last start over 6½f at Gold Coast. Has her share of ability and can do a lot better.
