COSMO CENTAURUS (8) impressed when successful as favourite on debut over 5f at this track five-and-a-half months ago and has not been produced since. Has since been kept ticking over with a Doomben trial win. Has plenty of upside and can win again. SPYWIRE (1) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5½f at this track, beaten 5.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Won't find this as tough so he is a leading contender. BELEGATO (5) scored last start at this track to make it two wins from three starts this campaign. Should enjoy a good run just off the speed. Capable of testing this field. DEFIANT BOOM (3) lines up for the first time since September 21. Looking to emulate his win at Doomben when returning from a lay-off last prep. Looks a strong top-three prospect.
