TEMPER THE STORM (2) broke his maiden last start over 7f at Sunshine Coast Poly when resuming, scoring by a nose. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Re-unites with Cody Collis who was on board last start. Progressing well so worth following up. BIRMINGHAM (10) came home soundly to finish fourth when resuming over 5f at Ballina last time out. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Expecting a bold showing. ALPHA JANE (9) will find this easier than last start when she finished eighth over 7f at Gold Coast. That effort came on the back of a win in a at Ipswich. Can play a big role in the finish. NEGATION (6) was below her best last time when 11th over 6¾f at Doomben, beaten 6 lengths. Has her share of ability and can do a lot better.
