BRAVE DEEL (2) was beaten for early speed and didn't come into contention when a disappointing sixth over 1m2f at Seymour most recently. Nicely placed to bounce back. SIR CUTHBERT (7) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 15 lengths into 12th over 1m1/2f at Warrnambool. Faces an easier assignment so he can turn things around. BO COUGAR (9) finished 9 lengths away in sixth last time out over 1m at Werribee after being prominent at the corner two weeks ago. Steps up in distance. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Sure to be competitive. RICH CHAMPAGNE (6) finished second at Horsham two runs back but was less effective last time over 1m1/2f at Warrnambool, finishing 15 lengths back in ninth. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
