HOT CITY (4) ran below expectations last time after being in the firing line on the corner at Sandown-Hillside, finishing fifth and beaten 3 lengths starting at 6/1. Faces an easier assignment so he is set to turn things around. PIGLET (10) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 0.8 lengths away in second after she got a long way back in the run over 7f58yards at Kyneton. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. INSTINCTIVE SPIRIT (11) turned in a much better run at her second appearance last time out when 1.5 lengths from the winner in fourth over 7½f at Geelong. Can improve further and should be in the finish. GOATS ON OATS (1) ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1m at Colac after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Finds a nice race and can play a big role again.
