THIRD BASE (2) finished fifth when resuming two runs back then did a good job last start but found one better over 4½f at Newcastle, beaten only a nose. Beautifully placed and is sure to play a major role. COPPERLINE (3) is a last-start winner over 5f at this track, showing good early speed on the occasion and leading throughout to score by a long neck. Will prove very tough to beat. JUST JOAN (9) was safely held when eighth last time out over 5½f at Bathurst, beaten 5. 5 lengths. That followed a win at Orange at the previous outing. Has her share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. FLYING MOLLY (7) crossed from an outside draw last time to stalk the lead before drawing clear to win by 0. 6 lengths over 5f at Quirindi. Can figure in the finish again.
