FAR WESTERN (2) returns from a lay-off of ten weeks. Could only manage eighth, beaten 14 lengths, when resuming last prep at Del Mar (Dirt) over 5f. Chance to topple to top selection as these small fields can throw up surprises. WHISKEYINATEACUP (3) drew wide and was pretty plain last time out when 13 lengths from the winner in tenth at this course and distance. Solid top-three hope.
