SHINY NEW DEEL (5) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 0.8 lengths from the winner in third over 1m at this track after being prominent at the bend. Likely improver with strong prospects. HIS FINEST HOUR (9) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Bendigo over 1m after being prominent from the outset. Meeting a deeper field this time but he cannot be left out. GALLANT PRINCE (8) missed the frame when resuming but looks ready to win now after two straight placings, the latest over 7½f at Mornington. Should be prominent despite the awkward gate. Will give backers a great sight. PERFECT TEN (14) started at 7/2 last time but could only manage ninth, beaten 2.5 lengths, at Sandown-Lakeside over 1m2 1/2f. Has good early toe so she should be handy in the run. Deserves respect on best figures.
