Group 3 placegetter WAIHAHA FALLS (21) showed little early speed last start and failed to come on in the straight when seventh, beaten 4 lengths, over 6f at Kembla Grange. Must raise the bar but he has the ability to test this field. Group 3 winner VON HAUKE (10) is a last-start winner three weeks ago, scoring by a neck over 7f at Flemington. Should be involved in the finish. BOLD MAC (19) performed above expectations last time over 7½f in the G2 Ajax Stakes at this track, finishing 1.5 lengths from the winner in fourth after starting at huge odds. Settles back early but winds up late. Will be doing his best work late.
