Group 2 placegetter WOLVES (17) finished second two runs back at Moonee Valley then improved last time out to score by a nose as public elect over 6½f at Hawkesbury. Sam Clipperton scored on her last time and retains the ride. Finds a tougher race but another big run will not surprise. Group 3 placegetter BLACK DUKE (3) had been in top form landing two consecutive wins but last start missed the frame when 11th over 6f at this track. Will drift back but wind up late. Will be tough to hold out. PUTT FOR DOUGH (16) has had two runs since a break, the latest a fourth over 6f at Warwick Farm, beaten 2.75 lengths. SEBRENCO (14) fought on for third last start over 7f at Warwick Farm, beaten 1.1 lengths to add to some fine recent form. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time.
