Best form puts him right in this. SCRUB CHAIN (6) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten a nose, over 7¾f at Mackay. Will drift back but wind up late. Leading contender. ASTRA STAR (4) has been racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid second at Townsville over 7f. Has a solid record at this circuit. One of the contenders. PIPISTRELLE (1) stuck on well last start to finish third over 1m at Doomben after showing good early speed. Perfectly placed and is sure to prove tough to beat.
