CLENCH (4) raced on the speed last time but couldn't finish the race off and clocked-in fourth over 7f at Sunshine Coast Poly. Well placed on this occasion and gets his chance to break the ice. CHECK ONE TWO (7) is a 14-start maiden who finished seventh after being prominent at the turn at her most recent outing over 6f at Mackay. This looks a nice race so expect her to be right in the finish. GENERAL GORDON (2) settled back but wound up late to finish fifth when resuming last start over 7f21yards at Grafton. Backmarker who keeps coming. One of the contenders. ARGYLE GOLD (3) finished 6 lengths away in sixth at his last appearance over 7f at Sunshine Coast on May 24 after he gave away a big start. Appeals as a top-four contender.
