Set Weights IFTFALCON (2) is close to a win at the fourth run back from a lay-off, the latest effort a third over 1m2f in the G1 Rosehill Guineas. Will find this easier. Expected to be in the finish. EVAPORATE (1) has two minor placings from three starts this time in work, the latest as favourite over 7½f at Listed level at Ellerslie. Goes well at this journey including two wins so he looks a genuine threat. SHANGRI LA SPRING (5) strode forward early from his wide draw over 7f in the LR Canberra Guineas when fresh from a lay-off last time, leading for much of the way before being claimed in the straight to finish third, beaten 0.6 lengths. Solid run last start and is among the chances again. DEPTH OF CHARACTER (3) hasn't raced since finishing fifth in the G1 Randwick Guineas at this track over 1m four weeks ago. Kept ticking over with a recent trial at Hawkesbury. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
