BILL THE BOXER (2) failed to threaten when fresh from a lay-off last time out, beaten 6 lengths into 11th over 6f at Caulfield. Drawn to stalk the leaders. One to consider. FAMOUS PEDRILLE (6) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on December 16 finishing tenth and beaten 11 lengths over 7f at Randwick. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
