KANDINSKY (3) registered his first win last start over 7f at Bendigo, getting home by a head. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Jordan Childs was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Capable of making it two on the trot. MIKE'S HOPE (6) kicked off this campaign with a win two runs ago. Couldn't follow that up last time out when sixth over 7f at Sandown-Lakeside, beaten 5 lengths. Perfectly placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. ZORB (5) resumed over 7½f at Ballarat Synthetic last start and was too good for his rivals, scoring by half a length. Open to plenty of improvement and looks a big threat to the top selection. SIXTY GRAND (7) is back from a lay-off of six months. Closed last prep with a sixth, beaten 5 lengths, over 1m2f at Pakenham. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Serious contender.
