SPIRIT ANGEL (9) is back after a break of six months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 6½f at Wangaratta. Has ability and should be right in the finish. PREMIUM RETURN (2) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 6f at this track, scoring by a long neck. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Tricky draw to overcome but he cannot be discounted. PONTE ARCOBALENO (5) has been kept fresh for this since a disappointing eighth last start over 7f at Ballarat Synthetic six weeks ago. Has a win and four minor placings at this journey from six starts and is a key contender.
