ASTRAL FLAME (3) showed good early speed and raced just off the lead before lifting to score by one length over 6½f at Geelong last start. Among the top chances again. CANARA (10) is back after a break of five months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 5½f at Randwick Kensington. Yet to win when resuming but generally runs well with two minor placings from four tries. Looks a winning chance. KHADIME (11) has not won for a long while. Last raced on October 29 when beaten 4 lengths into fifth at Bendigo over 6½f after being in the firing line on the turn. Beautifully placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. MALDINI (12) stuck on well last start to finish second over 6f at Moe after showing good early speed. Meets a stronger field but he is capable of another big run.
