MAGIC SORCERER (9) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 10 lengths away in tenth over 1m at Taree. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. LOTS OF FIDDEES (8) was prominent at the corner and ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 6f98yards at Orange after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Faces an easier assignment so she is a major player. BIG WANDJI (2) resumed from a lay-off last start with a sound second over 5½f at Wellington after being in the firing line on the corner. Placed to advantage and can take this out. SPECULA (5) is a three-start maiden who returned last time and finished fifth at Tamworth over 6f, beaten 3.5 lengths. Should be poised just off the lead. Not to be discounted.
