LYNCHED (4) ran on strongly but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 7½f at Warwick. Perfectly placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. FORTIVACI (2) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well when returning from a break last time at Ballina, finishing second and only 1.75 lengths from the winner at the end of 6½f. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. STREET FIGHTER (7) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 1.75 lengths when sixth over 7½f at Warwick two-and-a-half weeks ago. Finds the right race this time and can turn things around. BRIEF SOJOURN (8) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on December 24 finishing sixth and beaten 4.5 lengths over 1m1/2f at Ipswich. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
