THE DAILY PLANET (3) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 5 lengths away in fourth last time out over 7f at Horsham. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. ILIAD (8) finished 2.25 lengths from the winner in fifth last start over 6½f at Seymour, an improvement on her seventh at Ballarat Synthetic the run before. Finds a nice race and can figure in the finish. MY MATE COBBER (2) finds it hard to win with two victories from 33 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when seventh over 7f at Balaklava, beaten 5.5 lengths. Nicely placed to figure in the outcome. HERWORTH (12) ran a better race when second up last start, finishing sixth and beaten 4 lengths at Donald. Fitter and should be in the finish.
