PINCHBECK (3) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just two wins from 29 starts. Did a good job last start to finish third over 5½f at Bordertown, beaten 1.1 lengths. Taking on a better field but he is sure to play a feature role. BANGHOLME (1) started at 4/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing tenth and beaten 3 lengths at Tocumwal over 5½f. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is up to the task. GRAFTON AVENUE (10) could only manage 11th when resuming two runs back then improved last start when he worked home well but found a couple better over 6f at Clare, beaten only half a length. Must raise the bar but a win is not out of the question. DIDWEWIN (9) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing fourth at Bordertown over 5½f. Meets a stronger field but she is good enough to turn things around.
