ATHANATOS (1) finished second two runs back in the Vobis Sires Guineas at Caulfield then improved last time out to score by 2 lengths over 1m at Flemington. Daniel Stackhouse scored on him last time and retains the mount. This doesn't look as hard so he is a big chance to make it two on the trot. CONCHIERO (2) has really found winning form, making it two in a row when scoring over 1m at Sandown-Hillside. Has claims if runs up to his latest effort. DUBAI FOCUS (3) has two wins and one placing from three races this campaign. Found one better last start at this track over 1m after being racing in the leading division. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is good enough to play a major role. DARKNCONFIDENTIAL (5) showed good speed to stalk the pace before drawing clear to score by a neck over 1m here last time out. Will find this much tougher but cannot be underestimated.
