GALLANT SON (2) is ready to win after he just missed last time, beaten half a length into second over 5½f in the LR Moomba Plate at Flemington. Won't find this as tough so he is likely to play a big role. RESERVE BANK (1) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when sixth over 6f in the G1 William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley after he travelled towards the rear of the field. Will strip fitter and is expected to run well. SIR NOW (3) is putting together some solid results. Finished second at this track two starts back then got the job done by 0.7 lengths as favourite last time out over 5f at Morphettville Parks. Connor Murtagh scored on him last time and retains the ride. Must raise the bar but another win is not out of the question. JUST LIKE GABY (10) missed the frame last time when sixth in the G3 Typhoon Tracy Stakes at Moonee Valley. That followed a run of two wins on end. Should be poised just off the lead. One of the better hopes.
