VERDAD (7) scored two runs back then was well supported last time but could only manage to finish eighth over 7½f at Moonee Valley. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. BAKEEL (8) was successful last start over 7f at Morphettville Parks, getting home by 0.6 lengths to make it four wins on the bounce. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is capable of running another bold race. AIR ASSAULT (1) took advantage of the good draw when resuming from a lay-off last start and led for much of the way before finishing third, beaten 2 lengths, over 6f in the LR Matrice Stakes at this track. One of the main contenders. HELLSING (13) hasn't been far away lately, beaten 2 lengths at his most recent appearance when fifth over 1m at Flemington. Tougher assignment this time but cannot be underestimated.
