TOPHET (4) is a promising type who finished in the placings over 5f at Mornington at his last appearance on December 6. Fitter for two subsequent trials, including a win. Commendable record at this trip with a win and two minor placings and should be hard to stop. FRIDGE MONSTER (5) is back at the races for the first time since October 6. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5f at Seymour. Rates highly and should take some beating. PANO'S PRIDE (1) got the prize two runs ago at Cranbourne. Less impressive last time out when fourth over 5f at Cranbourne, beaten 5 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Will enjoy a drop in class so he will prove hard to beat. MELIDESH (3) showed good early speed from the inside draw last start before finishing second over 5½f at Kerang. Facing a tougher assignment but he is good enough to make a big impact.
