Could only manage to finish sixth last time out over 6f at Seymour following a minor placing at Geelong when fresh from a lay-off the run prior. Big chance to break through. MOHEGAN GODDESS (11) has not raced since her debut back on December 20 when she finished fifth over 5f at Cranbourne. Likely improver who is worth another chance. CASTLEFIELD FLYER (9) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 6f at this track when second, beaten 2.25 lengths. Will benefit from that experience so she should be in the finish. MERCHANT OF GREECE (6) wasn't far off maiden success before a break of six-and-a-half months, finishing the campaign with a minor placing over 6f at Kilmore. Looks up to the mark following a trial win at Werribee. Rates highly on best form and a bright return wouldn't surprise.
