MISSION TAICHI (7) settled back on debut last time out but wound up strongly in the run home to finish second over 1m at Bendigo. Open to improvement and looks a serious contender. BAROSSA VALLEY (2) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when third over 1m2 1/2f at Ballarat Synthetic. Goes up a rung or two but he is good enough to take this out. ALL THE MOVES (1) finished 1. 75 lengths away in fifth last time out over 7½f at Ballarat Synthetic after being in contention on the turn three-and-a-half weeks ago as 11/8 favourite. Steps up in journey. Won't find this as tough. Has claims on his best form. KOVU (6) is a 12-start maiden who finished second over 1m2 1/2f at Ballarat Synthetic last time out. Must raise the bar but this looks well within his grasp.
