ODEGAARD (4) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was never in contention over 6½f at Rockhampton, beaten a long neck into fourth. Faces an easier assignment so he will be hard to beat. EL PENSADOR (9) improved sharply on his fifth two starts back at Doomben with a win as public elect over 7f at Townsville two-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 2 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he can win again. GOING NUCLEAR (2) came from well back on cornering and hit the line strongly to score over 1m at Townsville last time out. All set to run well. JOURNALISM (3) had been racing consistently with three minor placings on end prior to finishing fourth most recently over 1m at Rockhampton. Back to the track at which he finished third two runs back.
