SMART MISSION (3) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fourth, beaten 1. 2 lengths, over 1m at Rockhampton. Will prove hard to hold out. KICKAGOAL KENNY (6) was well fancied last start over 6f at Oak Park when fourth, beaten 4 lengths. The winkers come off now. Rates strongly and expected to go close. EAGLE WARRIOR (1) turned in an encouraging run when resuming, settling well back then winding up nicely to finish sixth over 6½f at Townsville. Outdashed but got home well and appears suited by the longer journey. Rates highly on best figures. GENERAL GORDON (9) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago but was not as effective last time out when ninth over 1m at Rockhampton, beaten 9 lengths. One of the main hopes.
