Race Tip

DOUBTING EYE (6) returned from a break last start and drifted well back before closing powerfully to score over 5¼f at Rockhampton, getting home by 0. 6 lengths. Sound record at this distance with five wins and seven minor placings from 17 runs and is a key runner. FLYING SHAMUS (7) showed good early dash last start and held on well to finish 0. 8 lengths back in third over 6½f at this track. Placed to advantage so expect a big run. MASTER MONTARO (1) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 0. 6 lengths from the winner in second over 5¼f at Rockhampton after being in contention on the corner. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish. SOOPAT (4) is a distance specialist who bounced back last start and got the job done by 3 lengths over 5f at Mt Isa. Likely to be there at the finish again.
