QUEEN ASSASSIN (5) returns from a layoff of five months. Scored over 5¼f at Rockhampton at the start of last prep. Has a strong when resuming record, scoring on two occasions from three starts. Looks a winning chance. NAMAZU (1) was fresh from a six months break last start and scored by 2 lengths at this track. Boasts three wins here. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Expecting a bold showing. EXETER (7) finished seventh over 6f at Cranbourne at his most recent appearance on January 19. Has switched to the Jason Morgan yard. Definite top-three chance. THISLAND IS MYLAND (8) settled well back then came home powerfully to score by 1.4 lengths over 6f at this track last time out. Sound record at this distance with three wins and two minor placings from seven runs and is one of the better hopes.
