SKREATCH (10) took advantage of a low draw last time and stalked the lead before going on to score by a neck over 5½f at this track. Will go forward and should be in the finish again. PRETTY SLICK (7) is back at the races for the first time since July 22. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5½f at Rockhampton. Has ability and should be right in the finish. ICE SKATER (14) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 5f at Townsville, beaten 4.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Looks well placed so expect another big run. COLD POWER (2) improved sharply last time out to score by a nose over 5f at Townsville three weeks ago. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role again.
