REGAL PATRIOT (3) saluted last start at Santa Anita (Turf) over 6½f after he was in contention on the bend. Has a very good record over this journey with two wins from three starts. Likely to go forward from a nice draw. Expected to be in the finish. JAGUAR JON (6) has been in great form with two placings in succession, most recently when beaten 1.3 lengths into third over 6f at Santa Anita (Dirt) when he was always up in the leading division. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the key runners. HAYWOOD (11) made it back-to-back wins when successful last start over 6f at Santa Anita (Dirt), getting home by 0.8 lengths. Facing a tougher assignment but he is good enough to score again. ITS A CINCH (7) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by 2 lengths over 6f at Santa Anita (Turf). Fitter for that last hitout and is among the better chances.
