FIREBALL BIRDIE (3) faced the starter for the first time and finished seventh last start at Oaklawn Park (Dirt) over 6f, beaten 13 lengths. Will have a lot more to offer this time. MR SHORTY (1) is a three-year-old colt who is having his first run for the Karl Broberg yard. Finished off last campaign with a sixth at Delta Downs (Dirt) three-and-a-half months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but looks well placed. Expected to be in the finish. CARRY THE FLAG (8) was prominent at the corner and finished second last time over 5f at Sam Houston Park (Turf), beaten one length. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. EL QUESO GRANDE (2) missed the placings on debut two runs back then didn't feature last start when 6 lengths away in sixth over 6f at Sam Houston Park. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well.
