SHEZAVIXEN (4) booted up from the inside draw to lead when returning from a lay-off last start and was there on straightening before being claimed and finishing 0.8 lengths away in second over 1m at Bairnsdale. Expected to be in this for a long way. LATE ARRIVAL (2) finished fifth two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 1m1/2f at Warrnambool, beaten only 1.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. IRVING AGAIN (10) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a eighth over 1m2 1/2f at Benalla after he got a long way back in the run. Well placed and can play a prominent role.
