TIPPING RAIN (8) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then was beaten 7 lengths when tenth over 6f at Pakenham a week-and-a-half ago. This doesn't look as hard so she is sure to be prominent. FORTYFOUR MAGNUM (11) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at Seymour, beaten 3. 5 lengths into sixth after being prominent at the turn. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. WESTERN LANE (5) has been thereabouts since getting off the mark three runs back, the latest effort a third over 6f at Swan Hill. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. One of the main contenders. SKELLIG ROCK (10) was beaten 2. 5 lengths into fourth over 5½f at this track last time out. Better than recent efforts suggest.
