SHANGHAI VENTURE (9) is backing up quickly after finishing in the money at Bairnsdale over 5f just seven days ago. Nice run last time and is capable of taking this out. ROCKCLIFF (4) raced below his best last time when sixth over 5½f at Moe, beaten 2 lengths. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a major role. WHISKEY AND BEER (5) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 4 lengths away in eighth over 6f at Benalla. Nicely placed to find some form.
