Hard to beat in this suitable race. PONTMEIRION (1) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 5.5 lengths back in fourth over 7½f at Ballarat Synthetic. Another bold showing is expected. VERY GRATEFUL (7) finished third at Pakenham Synthetic two runs back but was less effective last time over 7f at Ballarat Synthetic, finishing 16 lengths back in ninth.
