FASTLING (4) has a moderate winning strike-rate but impressed when returning from a break last time at Gatton, finishing second and only 2.25 lengths from the winner at the end of 5½f when he made late ground. Perfectly placed and is sure to be there at the finish. NEW YORK GAL (8) has recorded two minor placings from three starts this campaign, the latest when third as a well-fancied conveyance over 6f at Warwick. She looks a top challenger again. INVICTUS LAD (5) settled well back last time out then found the line strongly to finish 1.75 lengths away in fourth over 6½f at Beaudesert. Can feature in the finish. FLYING TYROL (10) was unplaced two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 5½f at Gatton, beaten 3 lengths into fifth. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
