Race Tip

ERINA (4) started at 15/2 last time on the back of a win at Newcastle two starts ago but was below her best, finishing eighth over 6¼f at Newcastle. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. VIA FLAMINIA (7) was less than a length from the winner in third at Newcastle on debut before breaking through for a strong win over 6½f at Newcastle last start on heavy going. Has plenty of upside and can measure up again. KING NIC (1) broke his maiden last start over 6¾f at Wyong, scoring by 0.6 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. One of the likely contenders despite the step up in grade. DAMASCUS CALLING (2) is coming off a last-start fifth, beaten 5.5 lengths, over 7f at this track. Sure to be competitive.
