ACE'S IN BLOOM (9) was too good for a maiden field when resuming last start over 6f at Newcastle, scoring by a neck. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Re-unites with Braith Nock who was on board last start. Big chance to go back-to-back. NIGHTCAPPED (10) showed good early speed then led into the straight when fresh from a lay-off last start before fighting on to finish third, beaten 1.75 lengths, over 6f at Newcastle. Sure to give a sight. HEADSTOCK (1) is going well, scoring by 3.5 lengths two runs back at this track before finishing fourth last time over 6f at this track. Settles back early but winds up late. Will prove tough to stop. OBVIOUS STEP (2) turned in another moderate effort last start when 4 lengths from the winner in eighth over 6½f at Wyong. Better than recent efforts suggest.
