EPIC PROPORTIONS (1) resuming from a five-and-a-half months break after finishing ninth at Gold Coast and resumes here a gelding. Placed in a recent trial. Expected to go close. FIRE STAR (2) is back after a break of six months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 5½f at Canterbury. Lines up. For the first time for trainer peter snowden. Looks a winning chance. FREE STATE (3) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by a neck over 4½f at Newcastle. Fitter for that last hitout and another big run will not surprise. NORTHUMBRIA (4) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5f at Wyong, beaten 3.5 lengths. Strips fitter and should be thereabouts.
