AUSBRED MIMOSA (1) showed good early speed and raced on the pace when when resuming after a lay-off last start before fading to finish fourth, beaten 1.3 lengths, over 5½f at Hawkesbury. Will be handy in the run and should prove hard to run down. THAIBEEFSALADE (10) finished ninth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6½f at this track, beaten 2.25 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. RETAINER (13) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then she was always well out of her ground and was beaten 5 lengths when fifth in a 6½f contest at Wyong two-and-a-half weeks ago. Likely improver with strong prospects. TWIRLING (11) faced the starter for the first time and was well supported but could only manage fifth last start at Randwick Kensington over 5½f, beaten 9 lengths. Open to improvement and can feature.
